Mr Coffee (2) by Lagwagon LAGWAGON - Mr Coffee (2) guitar tab Date: Sun, 1 Dec 2002 17:31:42 -0800 (PST) From: Robert Davezac <[email protected]> Subject: l/lagwagon/mr_coffee.crd Artist: Lagwagon Song: Mr. Coffee Album: Duh Year: 1992 This is a really cool song that I (with a little bit of help from my man Ken Phillips. Props to Ken) figured out. Intro (Not sure which parts of this are played by the bass and which is the guitar. I think the guitar plays all of it the second time through but only the high note the first time through) e------------------------------------------- B------------------------------------------- G---4---4----4---4----4---4----------------- D------------------------------------------- A-2---2---2--------------------------------- E----------4---4---43---3---32--------------- 1st Ending 2nd Ending D--------- D-4-4-4--- A-1---1--- A-4-4-4--- E---4----- E-2-2-2--- Verse (this is REALLY fast, but I think it's right) This should be played as power chords, with distortion B B C# C# Eb E E Eb C# Bb F# F# Ab F# Bb B B B B x2 (E is the highest note--all F#s, Abs, and Bbs are at the lower octave. I'm not sure if it's a Bb that's played, that's why it's in parentheses) OR B B B B B B (loF# F# F#) E Eb C# (loF# F# F# Ab Ab) B B B B x 2 I'm really not sure which of these is more correct--I think the top line follows the vocals and the bottom one follows the guitar more closely--but the real guitar part might be some combination of the two. Stick to the bottom one and if it sounds like something is missing, add the transitions from the top one. Chorus B B B C# Eb E (Eb) E E E F# B B B x2 Transition E E C# C# Eb Eb B B x3 E E C# C# Eb C# B Bridge B B B (loF#) B B B B (loF#) x 2 (lead comes in now, playing this, while rhythm plays this another 2 times. Lead is something like this) B B B F# BB B B F# B B B F# BB B B F# E e-----4-2-------4-2-|-----4-2-------4-2|---0-------- B---4---------4-----|---4---------4----|------------ G-4--------44-------|-4--------44------|------------ Repeat once (sounds like rhythm palm-mutes on the E), then Rhythm plays this: E F F# F F# Bb B (lead plays something close to this after) e----------------------------------- B--------------5-4-5-7p4------------ G--4-4-4-4-4-4-----------4-4-4-4-4-4 You may want to pick the B (4 on G string) at double time to match the galloping drum beat. Bridge Chorus: F F F F E F G C C C x4 Outro e-2-2-2-------- B-------34----- G----------4--- Verse "Morning has Broken. . . " "I wake with a shrug. . . " Chorus "I can now face the day..." "On legal speed. . . " Verse "I'm sketching I'm seizing . . ." "I-I-I I'm wired. . . " Chorus "Here I come to save the day. . ." "On legal speed. . ." Transition Bridge Bridge Chorus Bridge (once, no lead) Outro Questions? Comments? e-mail [email protected]
